My name is Brayan Martinez from video game development and interactive environments program, and this is evidence 5 of guide 3.
Throughout both my academic and work
life, I've learned that flexibility and adaptability are key to handling challenges and changes. In my studies,
especially in the video game
development, I’ve realized
it’s not just
about technical skills.
If you
don’t have a good attitude
towards teamwork, you’re going to struggle. When it comes to work,
my experience in mall logistics taught me a lot about adaptability. By staying flexible, I was able to keep operations
running smoothly, even with last-minute changes.
This ability to adapt allowed me to take on more responsibility and make better decisions under pressure. If a
situation changes suddenly, I’m able to adjust
and help my team stay on track.
Looking ahead, I know I need
to work on my communication skills since I tend to keep conversations to the bare minimum,
and if I don’t start engaging more with my peers, I might miss out on opportunities to build stronger
relations. Improving this will help me in both my studies and future work environments, especially in such a fast-paced
industry like game development.
In the end, if you’re not flexible and
adaptable, you’ll struggle
in any professional or academic
setting. These qualities
have helped me get through
challenges so far and will be essential for my growth as I take
on bigger leadership roles and more responsibility in the
future.
